DAMASCUS - The US Secretary of State, Mr Warren Christopher, said yesterday that Israel and Syria would resume peace talks on February 26th at a venue near Washington. He said Syrian President Hafez al Assad had agreed negotiations should proceed whether or not Israel calls early elections.
