The revised programme schedule for the national station Radio Ireland has been approved by the Independent Radio and Television Commission (IRTC).
The new schedule, details of which will be announced in the coming weeks, was submitted to the IRTC after disappointing listenership figures in the first six months of the fledgling station. In a statement last night, the board, management and staff of Radio Ireland welcomed the IRTC's decision.
