IRS audits Paula Jones

Washington - The US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has begins an audit of Ms Paula Jones after the former Arkansas state employee declined to settle her sexual harassment suit against President Clinton, a key adviser has said. Ms Susan Carpenter McMillan told NBC-TV's Meet the Press programme that the IRS initiated its audit of Ms Jones and her husband five days after Ms Jones turned down an offer from Mr Clinton's lawyers to end the case.
