A DCU student was found dead in Japan this morning. The young female student was taking part in a study abroad programme and had attended a concert on Wednesday night.
She was found dead in her hotel room in Tokyo late last night.
A spokesman for the Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed the bereaved family were receiving consular assistance from the Irish Embassy in Tokyo.
The circumstances of the student’s death are as of yet unclear and Japanese police are now investigating.
