TWO Irishmen have been elected to the eight-man group which runs the Franciscan Order, writes Patsy McGarry, Religious Affairs Correspondent. Father Sean Collins (51), from Ennis, Co Clare, and Father Gerard Moore (53), Meath Street, Dublin, have been elected to the order's general definitory with responsibility respectively for the English-speaking and Latin American conferences.

They will advise the new Minister General, Father Giacomo Bini (59), from Italy.
