Irish climbers make history

Two Irish climbers have recorded the first winter ascent of the north face of the Eiger. The two climbers, Mr Paul Harrington and Mr Martin Daly, achieved the ascent in perfect weather and good climbing conditions, and said the route was more difficult technically than anything they had attempted before.
