A retired Irish banker is to receive a Papal knighthood tomorrow.

A retired Irish banker is to receive a Papal knighthood tomorrow.

Mr William Glynn, from Tuam in Co Galway, was the driving force behind the renovation and reorganisation of the Irish College in Paris.

He  will be made a Knight Commander in the order of St Gregory the Great by the Archbishop of Tuam in recognition of his work for what is now the Centre Culturel Irlandais.
