Teen hospitalised after suspected ecstasy overdose

Gardaí say no major incidents to report after Junior Certificate results night

A 15 year-old boy was taken to hospital in Dublin last night after a suspected ecstasy overdose.

It is understood the boy was celebrating his Junior Certificate results in Dublin last night.

He was found by ambulance staff outside a nightclub on D’Olier Street which was hosting a Junior Cert results party night.

A spokesman for Dublin Fire Brigade said the boy was taken to St James’s Hospital for further observation.

More than 60,000 Junior Cert students celebrated their results last night. Gardaí and Dublin Fire Brigade said there were no major incidents to report from the night.
