Bracknagh to Monasterevin road closed after fatal incident

A man was killed this morning when the truck he was driving left the road in Co Offaly.

The incident occurred shortly after 8am on the Bracknagh to Monasterevin Road (L1002).

The man, in his 50s, was fatally injured after the articulated truck he was driving left the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

There was no other vehicle involved in the collision.

The road was closed after the incident and Garda forensic collision investigators are carrying out an examination at the scene.
