Baghdad - Iraq yesterday promised to disclose more details of its biological and chemical weapons programmes as the head of the United Nations arms inspection teams, Mr Richard Butler, warned that the UN's search for Baghdad's hidden arsenal was approaching its "defining moment".

Mr Richard Butler, head of the UN Special Commission on Iraq (UNSCOM), said he had been summoned to meet the Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Tariq Aziz, who told him on the phone that "he will be in a position to give me a fuller report on the biological area tonight . . . That seemed to me to be a positive development and I took it in good spirit."
