TEHRAN - Iran's incoming president Mr Mohammad Khatami yesterday blamed the United States for two decades of animosity and said Washington held the key to any thaw in ties.
Mr Khatami, said relations with the US would depend on observing changes in its attitude towards Iran.
He also said Iran opposed the Middle East peace process but would not take any action to disrupt it.
