An SDLP MLA for West Tyrone, Mr Eugene McMenamin, has claimed that his support for Mgr Denis Faul in Carrickmore has led to republicans daubing slogans on his Strabane home.
The slogans which read, "Sinn Fein Youth", "IRA" and "Republican Youth" appeared on his home early yesterday morning, Mr McMenamin said. He said some republicans wanted Mgr Faul removed as parish priest of Carrickmore, Co Tyrone, because he attended a police liaison meeting last month.
Later Sinn Fein in Strabane condemned the incident.
