The RUC chief constable designate, Mr Ronnie Flanagan, has said there is no evidence to suggest that an IRA ceasefire is imminent.
Mr Flanagan was speaking yesterday at a conference in Belfast of American pension fund managers who have "a trillion dollars" to spend, and are contemplating investing in Northern Ireland.
