Police in Dungannon are investigating a serious assault on a woman on the evening of St Patrick's Day.
The attack happened after the woman accepted a lift from a man driving a silver coloured saloon car.
The driver drove a short distance and stopped off the Farlough Rd near the village of Edendoark.
The man then assualted the woman who managed to fight him off before making her escape.
The attacker is described as in his mid-20s to early-30s with spiked hair and a large red nose.
A police spokesperson said this morning that the driver sustained an injury to his right hand during the assault and have called on anyone with any information to come forward.
