Gardai have launched an investigation following the discovery of a man's body at a caravan park in Co Wexford early this morning.

An arrest in connection with the death and a man is currently being held at Wexford garda station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

The dead man was this afternoon identified as 37-year-old Anthony Cullen from Wexford. His body was discovered at around 3.30am at the Burmah Caravan Park at Rosslare Strand.

The scene has been preserved and a forensic examination is underway.  The State pathologist Michael Curtis is is currently carrying out a post mortem at Wexford Hospital. .

Throughout the day gardai have been interviewing holiday makers in the area in an effort to establish what happened.
