A garda investigation has been launched in Galway following a shooting incident in the Ballybane area of the city last night.
A single shot was fired through a downstairs window in a house in Ard Alainn at 8pm.
Although there were people in the house at the time nobody was hurt.
A number of men were seen leaving the scene in a dark coloured car.
