NEW YORK - A New York businessman was arrested yesterday and charged with beating, raping and sodomising a woman he met on the Internet, police said.
A police spokeswoman said I Mr Paul Krath (46) met the victim, a 41 year old woman from Syracuse, New York, through an Internet chat room six weeks ago. After weeks of electronic chatter, the woman travelled to New York last Friday to meet Krath.
