A 12 year old girl died in an incident in Castlebar, Co Mayo, swimming pool yesterday.
Karina Moran, daughter of Tony and Rose Moran, Ballinafad, Balcara, Castlebar, was assisted by the pool's two lifeguards but was dead on admission to Castlebar General Hospital. Mayo County Council is carrying out an inquiry into the incident.
