The Health and Safety Authority is investigating how a three-year-old girl tumbled about 16ft from a Donegal hotel balcony at a wedding and had a miracle escape.

Eva Sweeney fell through a hole in a balcony to a sloped roof and tumbled onto paving on August 6th. She spent five days in hospital recovering.

One of the owners of the Ostán Gweedore in Bunbeg, Charles Boyle, stated it was the first time in 41 years there was such an incident.
