CAPE TOWN - The Zulu nationalist Inkatha Freedom Party yesterday suspended its 20 month boycott of South Africa's constitution writing process.

The party, which walked out of the 490 member Constitutional Assembly in February 1995, took up its seat on the assembly management committee, but warned that its return to the process was only temporary.
