A 73 year old Mallow man who was seriously injured when scaffolding at his son's home fell on him was awarded £30,000 and costs in the High Court in Cork yesterday.

Mr Charles O'Flynn, of Russell Place, Mallow, was visiting his son John's home at Lisheen Row, Mallow, on September 2nd, 1994. He was walking towards his car at the rear of the house when the scaffolding collapsed. He sustained serious head injuries which required operations and but for a coal bunker his injuries would have been worse.
