England's preparations for their Six Nations title showdown with France in Paris have been dealt a major injury blow following Paul Grayson's withdrawal through injury.

The out-half, who was recalled to the team by head coach Clive Woodward yesterday, has pulled out after a recurrence of a calf muscle problem which kept him out of the victory over Wales last weekend.

Bath prospect Olly Barkley, who kicked 16 points on his first Test match start against Wales, will keep his place in the side after initially being dropped in favour of the more experienced Grayson.

Barkley will win his fifth cap as England seek the minimum seven-point victory they will require to retain their Six Nations crown.
