Infant hospitalised after Swords fire

A six-month-old boy is being treated in hospital following an early morning fire at an apartment in north Dublin.

A six-month-old boy is being treated in hospital following an early morning fire at an apartment in north Dublin.

The fire started at a block of apartments in Swords at around 6.30am.

Residents were evacuated from the block at the Wikeford Hall development in Applewood, the fire service confirmed.

The baby was taken to Temple Street Children's University Hospital where his condition has been described as stable.
