Over 30,000 SIPTU members in hospitals, health boards and local authorities are expected to have voted overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action for more pay when their ballots are counted today. Nearly 5,000 craftworkers have already voted for strike action and have served strike notice for next Friday. The dispute is expected to cause widespread disruption.
