Increase in work eye injuries

There has been an unacceptable increase in the number of eye injuries caused by accidents in the workplace, the Association of Optometrists Ireland has warned. Mr Tony Benedict Smith, a lending eye surgeon, told the association's convention that many people have become careless in the workplace with regard to eye protection.
