The Government must end its "shameful inaction" on nuclear contamination of the Irish Sea by lodging a formal complaint to the OSPAR Convention on Marine Pollution, which is due to sit in July, the Green MEP, Ms Nuala Ahern, has said. Recent disclosure by Greenpeace of high levels of contamination of the Irish Sea should be highlighted with the conclusion of the Nordic Environmental Council which had linked contamination of the North Sea to Sellafield, she added.
