A man who claimed his epilepsy “significantly worsened” as a result of being beaten “black and blue” by two doormen at a nightclub has secured €100,000 damages in settlement of his High Court action. Glen Turner (28) claimed he requires full-time care because his epilepsy became so severe after the alleged assault at the nightclub at the Ardboyne Hotel, Navan, Co Meath, on September 21st, 2001.

Mr Turner, Priory View, Johnstown, Navan, had sued the Ardboyne’s Hotel’s owners and operators, Quinn Hotels Ltd, with registered offices at Hotel Kilmore, Dublin Road, Cavan.
