The National Consultative Committee on Racism and Interculturalism (NCCRI) are hosting a seminar in Dublin this morning on developments in immigration policy in Ireland and Europe.

The committee will discuss if the Immigration and Residence Bill due to be published before the end of the year will afford adequate protection and rights to migrant workers.

The Bill is expected to set up a new Immigration Service.

The NCCRI was founded by the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform in July 1998 and is a partnership group of government departments, agencies and non-government organisations.
