The Irish Film Institute (IFI) has launched a €300,000 appeal to build a new facility for its archives.

The Irish Film Institute (IFI) has launched a €300,000 appeal to build a new facility for its archives.

There is no longer sufficient space in the basement of the IFI building in Temple Bar, Dublin and the institute wants to raise money to rehouse its archives in a new centre on the campus of the National University of Ireland, Maynooth.

The fundraising campaign features the actor Saoirse Ronan.
