THE International Fund for Ireland (IFI) is to spend £1.3 million in a new initiative to address conflict resolution in Northern Ireland and in the cross Border counties in the Republic.

The Community Bridges Programme, launched in Derry yesterday, will fund projects which will tackle community conflict, intimidation and sectarianism. The three year programme will particularly involve marginalised young people in community relations and cross Border work.
