A 24-year-old man appeared in court today to face three charges connected with the seizure of a loaded gun in Dublin at the weekend.
Derek Hutch, of Chapel Farm Avenue, Lusk, Co Dublin was charged at Dublin District Court with possession of a Czech semi-automatic pistol at Ballybough Road, Dublin 3 at 11pm on Sunday.
He was also charged with possession of seven rounds of ammunition and with having a silencer.
Judge William Earley remanded Mr Hutch in custody to appear at Cloverhill District Court next Tuesday morning.
