BOSTON - Hurricane Edouard churned northwards yesterday, its 110 m.p.h. winds presenting a threat to Cape Cod and Nantucket Island, off the coast of Massachusetts.

Edouard was expected to pass over Nantucket Island at about 3 a.m. (7 a.m. Irish time) today and continue north and pass over Chatham on Cape Cod at about 8 a.m. (12 a.m. Irish time).
