Hungary is set to open delayed talks on an emergency loan from the EU authorities and the IMF.

Hungary is set to open delayed talks on an emergency loan from the EU authorities and the IMF.

The development follows the settlement of a months-long dispute between the European Commission and the government of prime minister Viktor Orban over the independence of the Hungarian central bank.

The commission is, however, proceeding with an action against the government over the independence of the country’s judiciary.
