BUJUMBURA - Hundreds of people packed the airport yesterday for the last two scheduled commercial flights out of the strife torn country, as international sanctions against the new military regime began to bite.

Some 400 Burundians and foreigners were to fly with the Belgian airline, Sabena, out of Burundi, which is already cut off from the world by an economic blockade imposed by neighbouring states after a coup last month.
