Hundreds of mourners attended the funeral in Co Down of a policeman who died in a hit-and-run incident last weekend.

Hundreds of mourners attended the funeral in Co Down of a policeman who died in a hit-and-run incident last weekend.

Constable Norman Thompson (39), a father of two, was hit by a car at Upper Kennedy Way in west Belfast in the early hours of Saturday morning. A 24-year-old Belfast man was charged with his murder on Monday.
