Paris - French police have uncovered a major Chinese human-trafficking network, transporting illegal immigrants through Austria or by direct flight to France, funded by the largest Chinese money-laundering operation in the country, investigators said on Friday.
Nine ringleaders, the masterminds of the trafficking operation, were jailed and 18 others were arrested after police raided two Paris foreign exchange offices earlier this week.
