Hewlett-Packard is to invest €21.4 million at its inkjet manufacturing operation in Leixlip, Co Kildare.
The inkjet operation employs 1,800 people in Ireland, and today's annoncement brings HP's investment in Leixlip to over $1 billion.
Making the announcement, the Tánaiste, Ms Harney, said the investment is a "perfect fit" with the Government's policy for the expansion of R&D in Ireland and the attraction of knowledge-led activities into Ireland.
Hewlett-Packard employs over 4,000 people in Ireland in a range of functions including software development, engineering, and sales and marketing.
