Today is International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer. The Department of Environment's Information Office, ENFO, on Andrew Street, Dublin, will be providing literature on ozone layer depletion.
The Minister for the Environment yesterday called for continuing international action to protect the ozone layer. Mr Howlin said each country, company and consumer must take responsibility for curbing the use of ozone depleting substances.
