The Irish Hotels Federation has welcomed the Progressive Democrats policy statement on tourism and its commitment to reducing employers' PRSI to 7 per cent.
The federation's president, Mr Pat McCann, said he particularly welcomed the pledge to increase the funding of the Overseas Tourism Marketing Initiative and the PD commitment to maintain competitive travel fares and to retain duty free sales after 1999.
