Those wondering why the light keeps burning in the newly-painted constituency office in Ranelagh of former PD deputy Michael McDowell should be aware that a missive which will shake up the political world is being prepared within. Journalist Sam Smyth has taken over the office to finish his forthcoming book, Thanks A Million Big Fella, which details the financial dealings of Charles Haughey and Michael Lowry.
It will be out at the end of the month and, says publisher John O'Connor of Blackwater Press, so hot is some of the copy that documentary proof and the necessity for legal clearance is holding it all up.
