Warsaw - An amateur hot-air balloonist, Mr Krzysztof Rekas, has made a short flight in a southern Polish salt mine 125 metres below ground, Polish television reported yesterday. The 14-metre wide balloon rose 213 cm from the ground for four minutes in the 36 metre high Staszic cavern, in the historic Wieliczka mine, late on Saturday.
