Industrial action by non-nursing staff at Tullamore General Hospital has been suspended following late-night talks at the Labour Relations Commission in Dublin. SIPTU is to ballot members on new set of proposals.

A spokeswoman for the Midland Health Board said that the 250-bed hospital should be operating normally from today.
