Memmingen - A man rode a horse into a building, up the stairs and into a disco on the first floor so he could buy a whiskey, a court heard here yesterday.
The 42-year-old man took his trusty steed, Othello, into the disco for a bet, the court in this southern German town was told. Unfortunately, Othello was not as steady getting down the stairs as it was going up. When the time came to go home, it took it two hours to clamber down the stairs.
The court fined the man 500 marks (£203).
