Dublin-listed Horizon Technology has reported a 16 per cent increase in trading profit growth in its latest trading statement.

The group, which distributes information technology products, increased its revenues by 39.5 per cent from €94 million in the first half of 2005 to €131.2 million in the six months up until the end of June this year.

Excluding acquisitions and developments, revenue grew 18.4 per cent year-on-year and 36.6 per cent sequentially.

Gross profits increased from €13.97 million in the first six months of 2005 to €18.77 million for the same period this year, representing a increase of 34.5 per cent.

The group made several acquisitions, both in Ireland and in Britain, and earlier this month it announced its exit from the volume distribution market with the sale of its distribution and channel services division.
