President Michael D Higgins has appointed Sarah Martin, née Hegarty, as his communications manager.
Ms Martin has spent over seven years working with RTÉ, most recently as a senior press officer with the radio division. She previously worked with the public relations agency Fleishman-Hillard.
She has an MSSc in Communications, Public Relations and Advertising from the University of Ulster, Jordanstown.
