The Sean Griffin Travel agency in Dublin has informed the Department of Transport that it is unable to meet its obligations to customers.

The Department said last night that it was making arrangements to ensure that any customers of the company currently abroad would be able to complete their holidays without disruption or inconvenience.

The Department also said that the statutory bonding scheme would ensure that people who had made bookings with the company before November 1st could go on holiday as planned or receive a refund.

People with bookings should telephone the Department of Transport, Energy and Communications, Travel Trade Section, Kildare Street, Dublin 2. Tel: 01-6041622 or 6041620. Claims must be made within the next 60 days.
