A human rights body became involved yesterday in a Belfast court action brought by two barristers opposed to declaring they will serve the queen before they can become QCs. In the High Court in Belfast, barrister Ms Claire Weir said the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission wished to intervene because the case involved human rights issues.

Mr Justice Kerr adjourned the hearing until next Monday.
