Today's racing at Haydock goes ahead after the course passed an early inspection.
Prospects had looked bleak a little earlier in the week and, although conditions remain unsurprisingly heavy, clerk of the course Kirkland Tellwright is satisfied that racing can take place.
"We've had six millimetres of rain overnight and it's now clear and blustery," he explained. "There is no rain forecast for the rest of the day, other than the odd light shower, so it's all systems go."
