The President of the Czech Republic, Mr Vaclav Havel, may cut his planned three day visit short, however, because of his country's involvement in Sunday's European Cup soccer finals in London.
While here, he will be guest of honour at a State Dinner hosted by the President, Mrs Robinson, at Dublin Castle. He will also meet the Taoiseach, Mr Bruton, at Government Buildings.
During the visit, the University of Dublin will confer an honorary Doctorate in Laws on President Havel.
