Haughey grand marshal of parade

Mr Charles J. Haughey acted as grand marshal in Sneem, Co Kerry for its St Patrick's Day parade, whose winning float featured Ansbacher accounts and the AIB Banks. The designers of the float were locals who wanted to highlight that AIB had decided to close its sub-office in the village.
